FAST, A SOURCE OF PIETY (VERSE NO. 183)

      Fast, is another Islamic commandment which is among the most important religious services and worships. Qurän with stress and emphasis says:

      ``O, YOU WHO BELIEVE! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those who were before you.'' And immediately it adds the aim and purpose of fasting: ``Fasting is prescribed that you may become God-fearing, and learn self-restraint.
