THE RIGHTEOUS WILL INHERIT THE LAND

A good and clear reward for the righteous servants of God has been promised here, that:ِ

``We wrote in ZOBUR, after ZIKR, that the earth shall be inherited by My righteous servants.''

Here, apparently ZOBUR is the PSALMS, and by ZIKR, the BIBLE is meant.

David was one of the great prophets who established a government of justice and truth, and the Israelites, then, are appliable to the weak people who raised against the hughty and tyrant rulers of their age, and vanquishedd them; and took over their land and all that tyey had. Their success, was of course not due to their weakness, but rather due to their faith, piety, righteousness, and all the necessary merits for that kind of success.

Wherever the righteous believers raise and revolt against oppression and tyrany, God will help them, and final victory will be theirs.

According to many Islamic traditions, the above verse (NO.105) is best applicable to the advent of, AL-MAHDI, who will of surety come, and lead the righteous people to rule the Globe with justice and the best possible way.

In the present BOOK OF PSALMSِ37:9-11 we read:ِ

``Those who trust in the Lord, will possess the land, but the wicked will be driven out.''

Soon the wicked will disappear. You may look for them, but you won't find them.

The humble will possess the land and enjoy prosperity and peace.''

In the same chapter (37:27ِ29), the same thing has been written in another way:ِ

``Turn away from evil and do good, and your descendants will always live in the land.''

The righteous will possess the land and live in it for ever.

In the next verse (NO.106), the immediate reference is to the Holy QURÄN. God's Universal Message has been revealed in QURÄN. It corrects the errors which men introduced in the previous scriptures, and explains many points in detail for those who want to recognize and serve God.

ZOBUR = THE BOOK OF PSALMS

Apparently by ZOBUR the PSALMS are understood by which a part of the present BIBLE is named. (THE BOOK OF PSALMS) In an introduction to the Psalms of the BIBLE we read:ِ

The book of Psalms is the hymn book and prayer book of the Bible. Composed by different authors over a long period of time, these hymns were collected and used by the people of Israel in their worship, and eventually this collection was included in their Scriptures.

These religious poems are of many kinds:ِ There are hymns of praise and worship of God; prayers for help, protection, or salvation; pleas for forgiveness; songs of thanks giving for God's blessings; and petition for the punishment of enemies.

These prayers are both personal or national. Some of them may portray the most intimate feelings of one single person, while others represent the needs and feelings of all people of God.

The Psalms were used by Jesus, quoted by the writers of the New Testament, and became the treasure book of worship of Christian Churches from its beginning. There are 150 Psalms altogether in the Bible.
